Use your nail clippers to achieve your desired length and shape, smooth out the edges with your nail file. Gently push back cuticles with your thumbnail and use your buffer to smooth them away. Love the color initially. . .

"I have been an avid user of pretty much solely Olive & June nail polish for years now and have really really loved it! Hot Strawberry looks AMAZING when you first put it on-- just like the photos-- so bright and so vibrant! It's an amazing summer color! HOWEVER. . . it fades A LOT after just a couple days of wear so know that before you order. These pics are from 3 and 5 days after wear. . . . the polish isn't chipping but it is SO faded and pastel looking-- at this point almost blends in with my skin. So just know that going forward! I will buy other colors again in the future, but I probably won't repurchase this one for this reason. (There is a brief note about fading on the website, but I purchased this particular one at Target and therefore didn't know about the fading beforehand. )"

Terribly Faded

"Two days in the sun over July 4th weekend and this what you get! Polish is now a pale pink, the bright color is completely gone. I have used Olive and June for years and never had a problem till now. I with I had taken a before picture to show the difference. This was a brand new bottle I just purchased."

Faded within 24 Hours! Bad Bottle?

"I ordered this 2 years ago, and had the same problem twice. I started out LOVING the color, but as other reviewers said, it faded within 24 hours. I am wondering if it was just a bad batch. I tried it twice to see if maybe there was some other factor the first time. I reordered a new bottle, so I hope it’s better now! The first photo was taken at 11:00 AM the day I painted them, and the second was taken at 8:30 AM the next day."

"I love Olive and June polish but this color was a huge disappointment. Like others say, it fades very quickly in a day to a very pale bubblegum pink at best and not even the same shade on every nail. My thumb and index fingers faded to transparent pink. I specifically purchased this color for a hot summer pink."

"I’ve used this color twice now and love the way it comes out of the bottle and goes on. It’s a perfect summer pink. As soon as I spend any time in the sun or at the pool though, it fades to a pale coral or even a dirty yellow kind of color. Very frustrating since I would totally use this color more for summer."

Color faded

"I never write reviews, especially bad ones. I really love this color, but I have had several issues with this color. First couple of times the color slipped off my nails within a day. I thought it was me, so I redid them. They were great! The perfect color for Las Vegas vacation with my granddaughters. When I came back and redid my nails, I did exactly the same thing, this time the color faded into a streaky pale pinks. I did sit in the sun for a few hours, afterwards it faded. In Vegas I had no problems. I am very disappointed!"

"This color I so beautiful when first applied but within about 24 hours it will fade a lot. It’s disappointing. I have dozens of Olive and June polishes and have used them exclusively for years and never had an issue like this. It’s very bizarre"

"Initially the color is the perfect bright pink shade for the summer. But after being in the sun, at the pool or the beach, the color fades so quickly to a light pink then peach. Bought this color twice because I thought the fading issue was a fluke. Disappointed and wish the color would stay."
