Apply Base Coat

Apply Peel Off Base Coat to just the center of your nail, leaving a border of bare nail all around the Peel Off Base Coat. Gel Base Coat must be used after Peel Off Base Coat for a gel mani. Apply a thin layer of Gel Base Coat, painting the nail in 2-3 strokes per coat, ensuring there is no polish on the skin or cuticles. Use the clean up brush dipped in acetone to remove any Gel Base Coat in contact with your skin. Cure for 1 minute (short press on the lamp).

"Absolutely in love with the system and gel polish the peely works great since I wanted to avoid soaking and filing off. I have missed going to the salon but with the cost of things and always being busy when I came across the system on sale I figured why not! When I use gloves for dishes and cleaning my mani can last two weeks I’m sure if I skipped the peely it would last even longer. Despite needing a fresh set after two weeks the system is so quick that I don’t mind it plus it’s a nice little self care session I look forward to. Flakes and chips faster than expected

"At first i was happy with the system and how easy it was to apply but i found after trying the products a few times that especially with the peel off base coat that the nails didnt stay nice for more than 3days. They kept peeling and chipping. I havent tried using just the regular base coat yet but i like the ease of being able to change the color quickly and not having to soak for a long time."

"So far I have used this system twice. The second time the peel off base coat lasted a few days longer than the first. It takes a little bit of time to learn but for the first time I can have polish last more than two days. I like the shiny finish but wish the shine lasted a little longer. I plan to keep uses this system over winter to hopefully grow out my nails and keep them from chipping. My daughter loves the gel polish as well because it actually lasts."

This was seriously the best

"This was seriously the best thing I have bought myself in a long time. I love to have pretty nails but don’t want to pay salon prices or ruin my nails so I’ve always done them myself with color street. But after struggling to get them to stay on I let my nails go natural for a couple years and really missed having them look pretty. I had seen other gel kits but the reviews were always iffy and ingredients seemed harsh. This one looked promising and seemed good so I went ahead and ordered it. Not only is it super easy to use. I’m considering the builder gel kit but I’m a little disappointed by the small variety of colors. Is it possible to use the builder gel as a base and then add a regular gel color on top?: Great question! You can absolutely use the Builder Gel as a base and then apply a regular gel color on top once it’s fully cured.
Do you have any gels that will be thicker in my nails? My nails bend usually with just gel.: Great question! Our Builder Gel is a great option for that. It’s designed to add structure and strength to the natural nail, so it can help reduce that “bending” feeling you’re getting with regular gel polish. You can also build up a bit more support by applying it in thin layers and curing each layer fully under the lamp before moving on to the next step.
My nails get thin and brittle with professional gel nails, what is your suggestion for this issue? Gel or polish?: I'm so sorry you're dealing with brittle nails from professional gel manicures. In general, we recommend focusing first on nail hydration and strengthening to help restore nail health before deciding between gel or polish. During that recovery period, a traditional polish system is often a gentler option while your nails regain strength. Once your nails feel healthier, you can revisit gel if you're looking for longer wear, but it really depends on what your nails tolerate best.
I bought some O&J gel polish at a local store and it seems quite thick. Are all gel polishes thicker than regular polish?: Great question! Yes, gel polish is naturally thicker than regular polish because it’s designed to stay in place and cure under a lamp. If yours feels very thick or hard to apply smoothly, that’s not typical.
