Recently, I’ve been learning to lean into what brings me comfort. After suddenly putting our dog to sleep on Christmas, it’s amazing how much my nails have continued to spark joy. As silly as it sounds, the oliveandjune community has been a fun way for me to escape the heaviness that has been the past couple of weeks. While I typically gravitate towards fun, bright colors, my heart has needed something a bit more subdued. I really love this Icing is the Best Part gel mani because even when I’m not feeling my bright, cheery self, knowing that my hands looks good has continued to bring me joy. My goal this year is to listen to continue doing what I love and what brings me joy. And while I’m still taking it a day at a time, for now this gel mani is exactly what my heart needed.
